Because even

the small fish count

As a family business, spending time with loved ones is a top priority at the Fish’Inn. It’s no secret what’s important on vacation with children: there has to be a decent program, but parents shouldn’t be neglected.

The Fish’Inn takes the first step: with family-friendly rooms, reasonable prices for children and a location that manages to cover all family interests. The region does the rest. Zell am See-Kaprun – and the entire Salzburg region – create more fun conditions for family vacations than almost any other vacation destination.

With sports and culture, outdoor and indoor pools, winter and summer toboggan runs, discovery tours through nature and much more, every family will find the right program here. And in the evening? Mom and Dad toast with a fine glass of wine at the hotel bar while the children dream of the next day.

The parents switch off, the children turn up the heat. This makes a family vacation in Austria unforgettable.

Conquer the surrounding mountains with your muscle power and reward yourself with unique views and descents in powder snow. Zell am See offers numerous tours for both beginners and advanced skiers.

Our tip: Ronachkopf

The mountain in Thumersbach, which is specially dedicated to ski tourers, offers a prepared ascent track and a relaxed descent. At 2.1 kilometers long and around 500 meters in altitude, the tour is also suitable for beginners. And the best thing: once you get to the top, you can reward yourself with Austrian delicacies at the Enzianhütte.

Cross-country skiing

Get your stamina on land!

You can also explore Zell am See-Kaprun away from the slopes on two skis – we’re talking about cross-country skis, of course. Whether skating or classic, flat trails on the valley floor or challenging trails with a few meters of elevation, you’ll find what you’re looking for. Equipment rental and cross-country skiing courses are also available. And for those who can’t get enough, there are also floodlit trails so you can still do your laps in the dark.

Our tip: Castle trail in Kaprun

Ideal for beginners and to get started. The trail leads around Kaprun Castle, with only a few meters of elevation it rewards you with unique views of the glacier and the historic walls of the medieval castle though.
